Houston Office Market Records Positive Absorption for Second Straight Quarter

Suburban Office Leasing Buoys Houston Office Market

The Houston office market continues to show signs of improvement recording positive absorption of office space for the second straight quarter. Houston’s office space market posted 378,216 square feet of positive absorption for the first quarter of 2011. The suburban office market again accounted for the bulk of the absorption with 391,431 square feet of positive absorption as compared to 13,125 square feet of negative absorption in the Central Business District.
