Managing your Personal Brand On-Line

Social Media is the hot business trend today and Corporate America is integrating this new marketing and branding platform into their business strategy at an alarming pace.  Businesses from the biggest brands to the solo consulting practice have signed on to networks and social media sites to connect with colleagues, consumers, clients and like-minded individuals. I will ask this question; “How many times on a daily basis do you hear Facebook, Twitter or Linkedin mentioned?”

The commercial real estate industry has long been accused of being behind the times and late adopters when it comes to technology. Most broker’s in our industry underestimate or misinterpret the benefits social media can provide for their business, while others may not consider it a valuable use of time. Write a blog entry, update your facebook status, endorse someone on Linkedin, create a video, track your online ads, tweet….and if you  have any time left over, sell or lease some real estate. Social media can be overwhelming, and time consuming but it does not have to be. Want to learn more?
