This Week in the Economy

by CoyDavidson on July 20, 2012

All the three major indexes ended the week with modest gains. The Dow and S&P 500 rose 0.4%, while the Nasdaq climbed 0.6%.

On the commercial real estate front, the American Institute of Architects released the results of the June Architectural Billing Index which indicates weak conditions persist for construction activity. The CoStar Group released it’s mid-year office report for the U.S. which shows signs of improving office market fundamentals, but the gains have not translated into meaningful rent increases.
