National Reports Shine Spotlight on Texas CRE Market

The Urban Land Institute and PwC US released the Emerging Trends in Real Estate 2013 report yesterday and Austin, Houston and Dallas were among the top commercial real estate markets to watch for 2013. Austin came in number 4 on the list, followed by Houston at number 5. Dallas ranked number 9 among the top ten markets to watch in 2013. San Francico, New York City and San Jose earned the top 3 spots in the survey.

Texas was named for the second year in a row as the top state overall to do business in an annual survey of top site location consultants by Area Development magazine. The states diverse economy, skilled work force, no corporate or personal income taxes, and a state government that is committed to tort reform and economic development were cited as the factors for Texas to earn the top ranking. South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and North Carolina rounded out the top in the annual survey.
