We have a little chip on our shoulder in Houston as we don’t as much national attention as some of the other great cities in the United States. Don’t even get me started on the “Gateway City” moniker, but in commercial real estate circles, I am increasingly hearing the term the “sexy six” in which Houston is included, as one of the office markets real estate investors are most interested in deploying investment capital.
I have said many times there is no city that needs to work on its image more than Houston. However things are starting to change and the national media is finally taking notice. Yes, its hot and humid in the summer and we are not really and probably never will be a tourist destination, but from a business standpoint, there isn’t a better place to be.
