Houston Economic Update | May 2011

There’s a popular conviction that Houston lags the nation going into a recession, leads the nation coming out, and sustains a shorter and shallower period of job loss in between. The nation is now far enough into the recovery to test that belief. So was Houston one of the best metros to ride out the recession or was that just wishful thinking?
