This Week in the Economy

As the month comes to a close the Dow is up 12% for the month of October, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq have surged more than 13% in the same period. All three indexes are also in positive territory for the year. The Dow is up more than 5%, the S&P 500 is 2% higher and the Nasdaq has climbed 3%. In the CRE sector, Moody’s reported a 2.4% increase in commercial real estate prices and the Real Estate Roundtable’s Q4 Sentiment Index recorded a drop to 2009 levels.
